IIT Bombay Technical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2026
Educational Qualification
For CSIF, Department of Physics, and Sustainability Office:
- B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc. in the relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years at Level 7 or 1 year at Level 8).
- OR M.Tech./M.E. with minimum 55% marks and 4 years of relevant experience.
- For PhD holders, up to 3 years of PhD duration will be counted towards the experience requirement.
For Application Software Centre (Full-Stack Developer):
- B.Tech./B.E. in any discipline OR MCA OR M.Sc. in IT/Computer Science, with minimum 55% marks and 6 years of relevant experience (of which 3 years at Level 7 or 1 year at Level 8).
- Essential experience: 4 years working with Object-Oriented Backend/Frontend Frameworks, 4 years with databases (MySQL/Postgres), proficiency in JSON RPC/SOAP/REST API, and 4 years in a Linux command line environment.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 40 years as on the application closing date, 04.09.2026.
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Institute norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and existing Institute employees.
