If you were bracing for another competitive written test, here’s some relief — IOCL has skipped that route entirely for this recruitment. Selection runs purely on merit, calculated from the percentage of marks you scored in your qualifying degree, diploma, or ITI course, taken in descending order.

If two candidates end up with identical percentages, the older candidate by date of birth gets ranked higher; if even that ties, the one with a better Matriculation percentage wins the tiebreak. Stipend and What You Actually Get During Training
